 Welcome! Just imagine being on board one of only three boats allowed to anchor
for a week in the Silver Bank Whale Sanctuary in the Dominican Republic
with only 20 other passengers and the crew. Twice a day for approximately
four hours each time, you board smaller boats called tenders with
your snorkel gear in hand and waiting to slip into the water and
experience eye to eye encounters with Humpback Whales weighting 80,000
pounds and 45 feet long with her newly born calf by her side.
Only 6oo people each year
have this fantastic opportunity during a 10 week window of time
per year. Yes, I have experienced those encounters during 2004,
2005 and 2007.
It leaves you breathless and uplifted
spiritually and physically for
months,
if not years.
